Punjab government declares health emergency in Lahore and Multan.
A senior provincial minister, Marriyum Aurangzeb while Addressing a news conference in Lahore declared the health emergency at a press conference and announced measures to combat the growing crisis. Takeaways allowed till 8pm. Restaurants to remain open till 4pm. There will be a complete lockdown in Lahore and Multan next Friday, Saturday and Sunday. If the situation worsens, the lockdown will be lifted earlier.
Schools, colleges and universities are being moved online until the smog situation improves. Educational institutions in all districts of Punjab, except Murree, will remain closed until further notice.
Decision to close all public and private schools and colleges up to 12th grade for one more week.
